Sayers Defines and Secures Virtual Network leveraging AWS and Check Point CloudGuard Technology
Recently a medical group purchased Check Point cloud firewalls. When their existing partner couldn’t handle the implementation, Sayers stepped up for the assist.
The Project Management and Engineering Teams immediately worked with the client to get a clear understanding of the situation, presented and discussed deployment options, quickly put together a statement of work and began to execute.
The end user ultimately needed to support and secure the high-availability and performance needs of multiple locations. They also needed a partner that understood the Amazon Web Services Virtual Private Cloud (AWS VPC) architecture and CloudFormation templates. Our deep expertise with Check Point firewalls, coupled with the broad cloud experience of our IT Infrastructure practice allowed us to complete the architectural designs to deploy a secure Transit VPC solution connecting Several VPC’s with resources in a new transit hub consisting of 5 Subnets across 2 Availability Zones.
Within the new Transit Hub, Sayers experts begin a successful greenfield deployment of two Check Point CloudGuard Security Gateway 80.20 Clusters and Check Point Security Smart Center leveraging CloudFormation templates. In conjunction to our long-term, and more widely known Check Point expertise, our engineers possess (at minimum) the following AWS pre-requisites needed to have successfully completed this project:
- Amazon Elastic Compute CloudAmazon Elastic Block Store
- Amazon Simple Notification Services
- Amazon VPCAWS CloudFormation
- AWS Auto Scaling
- AWS Identity and Access Management
- Elastic Load Balancing
The secure Transit VPC was implemented under budget, within the client’s timeline, with no issues or delays. The result was a satisfied customer with a secure cloud infrastructure and a trusted relationship with Sayers.
